Is there a free trial?

Yes! The Free plan allows you to import 2 YouTube videos per month (up to 5 hours each) and create 2 worksheets. This lets you fully test Workbookly's features before upgrading to a paid plan.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Monthly and annual subscriptions can be canceled anytime through your account settings. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months, but you won't be charged again.

Do you offer refunds?

What videos can I use with Workbookly?

You can use any public YouTube video that has captions or transcripts available. The video must have publicly accessible transcripts (auto-generated or manual). Private videos, unlisted videos without sharing, and videos without transcripts cannot be processed.

How long can videos be?

All plans support videos up to 5 hours in length. This covers most educational content, lectures, tutorials, documentaries, and courses. If you need longer videos, contact our support team.

How many videos can I import per month?

Free plan: 2 videos/month. Essential plan: 15 videos/month. Advanced plan: 30 videos/month. Lifetime Deal: 30 videos/month forever. Video import limits reset on the first day of each month.

How many worksheets can I create?

Free plan: 2 worksheets/month. All paid plans (Essential, Advanced, Lifetime): Unlimited worksheet creation. You can create as many different worksheets from each video as you want.

How long does it take to process a video?

Video processing (extracting transcript) typically takes less than 30 seconds. Worksheet generation (AI creating questions) takes 1-3 minutes depending on video length. You'll be notified when your worksheet is ready.

Can I use videos in languages other than English?

Yes! Workbookly supports videos in any language that has available transcripts/captions on YouTube. We support all major languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. The AI will generate questions in the same language as the video transcript.

What are Collections?

Collections are a way to organize related workbooks into structured learning paths. You can group videos by topic (e.g., 'Spanish Grammar'), skill level (e.g., 'Python Basics'), or create complete courses. Collections can be shared with a single link.

How many collections can I create?

There's no limit to the number of collections you can create on any plan. Organize your learning materials however makes sense for you or your students.

Can I share my collections with others?

Yes! Each collection gets a unique shareable link. Anyone with the link can access all the workbooks and worksheets in that collection, even if they don't have a Workbookly account. Perfect for teachers sharing with students.

Can I add the same video to multiple collections?

Yes, a single workbook can be included in multiple collections. This lets you organize content in different ways (e.g., the same video in both 'French Vocabulary' and 'Beginner French' collections).

Technical & Support

Do I need to install anything?

Workbookly works entirely in your web browser at workbookly.app - no installation required. The Chrome extension (Workbookly Slider) is optional but highly recommended for the best experience. Install it from the Chrome Web Store.

What browsers are supported?

Workbookly works in all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). The Workbookly Slider extension is currently only available for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera).

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Authentication is handled by Google OAuth. Payments are processed securely through Stripe (PCI-compliant). We never store your payment information. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Can I export my worksheets?

Yes! All worksheets can be exported as beautifully formatted PDF documents. PDFs include all questions, clickable links (in digital PDFs), and answer keys. Perfect for printing or offline practice.

Do I need a YouTube account?

No, you don't need a YouTube account. You only need a public YouTube video URL. However, you do need a Google account to sign in to Workbookly (we use Google OAuth for secure authentication).

What happens to my worksheets if I cancel?

If you cancel a subscription, you'll retain access to all your worksheets until the end of your paid period. After that, you can still view your worksheets but won't be able to create new ones. You can always re-subscribe to regain full access. Your data is never deleted unless you explicitly request account deletion.
